This course will explore the international aspects of Sales law. Specifically, the course will compare and contrast the concepts and methods of the United Nations Convention on Contracts with Article 2 (Sales) of the Uniform Commercial Code. Issues of scope, formation of contract, warranties, risk of loss, performance, and remedies will be emphasized and discussed comparatively. The course incorporates primarily a problem-based approach to the issues; however, some domestic as well as international case law will be discussed. Modern day issues pertaining to globalization and the international sale of goods will be addressed. Will be offered 2011-2012.
